I just started taking an interest in photography in late 2009. I am not sure if this is a type of mid-life crisis thing when I hit forty, but I have become steadily obsessed with the process and the learning of what a great photo is and how to achieve that perfect shot. I still have a lot to learn about lighting, focus and composition as well as work on my muscle and eye memory when I take the shot. Currently, the only live models that will cooperate with me are my cats, although they seldom stay still.

I work for one of the larger US airlines and it does afford me the opportunity to travel at will, but have not been taking that advantage to take photos in different places as of yet.

I welcome any and all constructive criticism that will help me grow as a photographer.
