i took most of these with an olympus 3040z bought four or more years ago. recently i finally got a nikon d50 and am learning to use it. there are tradeoffs. for the kind of pictures i like to take-- in natural, low light-- nothing beats a really fast lens.i don't have one yet for the d50. so i'm learning to make do for now.

i really enjoy the wonderful pictures people take and post at flicker. every day provides new inspiration. sometimes it's discouraging-- my pictures seem so pedestrian by comparison. but i really need this little outlet for self-expression, so i persist regardless... and thanks for the encouragement, it helps :-)
