i had talked with doug prior to 2006 via e-mail and experienced his work online through his altpick site and personal web-site. but, it wasn't until january of 2006 that i experienced his work first hand in a group art show that i curated here in minnesota called "begin to continue." i was tremendously impresed by the 3 original paintings that doug sent for the show! many well known prestigious artists were a part of that show and doug contributed some of the strongest examples that we displayed. i can't think of any higher way to praise his work. keep it up doug! i look forward to seeing your stuff continue to evolve!!
