Originally I intended to just add pics of aircraft flying over my house near Stamford, Lincs, with my Sony x50 zoom bridge camera. On clear days this camera can close in considerably though inevitably quality is not brilliant (some are surprisingly clear and sharp). Also shots taken over Yorkshire when I lived in Halifax are included.

However, I have a huge collection of pics taken over the years (from approx 1985) and so have decided to add these as and when I get chance. They are mostly at Manchester but also Leeds/Bradford and Heathrow and the odd holiday destination.

Back to those dots in the sky - a good variety of aircraft pass over my location, generally heading from the south to north, the majority being BA or easyJet on domestic flights. Ryanair, Air France, Swiss Air, Alitalia, Delta, United, American, Air Canada, Air Transat are all frequent overflies usually passing at around 30,000 to 34,000ft (approx 6 or more miles high)

Most Manchester-bound flights pass a little too far west (over Leicester) to photograph - though this is by no means always the case, especially the early morning larger jets (SIA, Emirates, Ethiad, Qatar) on clear mornings.

Aircraft going into EMA, though not all that far away, are too low to the horizon to get - though there have been one or two exceptions. A shame really, as there is a great variety of freight types here.
