Born 1966, studied fine arts and received a BFA in "Interdisciplinary Studies" (actually a dual concentration in painting and computer graphics) in 1993. Worked as a not-very-good graphic designer until December of 2003 (and got married in late 2002 to my beloved husband Alex).

I then worked a variety of odd jobs, and had a child (lovely little boy we named Gus) while striving to turn to painting as a profession, finally enrolling in an MFA program to study traditional painting at a higher level. Got more than halfway through this program before a series of bizarre, unexplainable physical maladies made continuing this work first difficult and then impossible.

In October of 2010 after more than a year of hell I was finally diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

My MS makes painting difficult, and photography is my main artistic outlet now. I am enjoying it immensely.

I have a small collection of cameras, but nothing near what many people here on Flickr have. I prefer film, with medium format my main love

My digital cameras are currently the recently-released Pentax K-01 and, of course, my iPhone.
