If you try to add me as a contact or favorite a photo of mine and you don't have an avatar pic or any photos in your stream, I will probably block you. It makes me uncomfortable to see photos of my family favorited by people who aren't giving me any information about themselves.

I am often happy for my photos to be used on blogs and websites - please just drop me a Flickr message letting me know what you would like to use it for, and if I'm happy with that I will send you a high res version.
