My interest in photography began when I got my first camera for my 12th birthday – a Kodak Duaflex which now sits on a shelf amidst a collection of old family cameras.
I moved from Wisconsin to Tucson in 1962. I taught elementary grades in TUSD, was the first Curator of Education at ASDM, taught in a tiny school in Big Bend National Park in Texas, and ended my career as Environmental Education Resource Teacher with TUSD at Cooper Environmental Science Campus in the Tucson Mts. My husband is retired from the National Park Service where he was an interpreter in a number of western parks. We live in the NW side of Tucson at the base of the Tucson Mountains, which gives us great opportunities for wildlife photos right in our own yard and neighborhood.
Retirement is busy. I volunteer with the Tucson Audubon Society and Pima County Parks and Rec doing natural history stuff. We love to travel, hike, and of course, play with photography.
