What a great eye for detail. There is a certain dry, dark humor in many of his photos that is hard to explain. I see irony and a jaundiced eye, but then again, a tinge of hope. I enjoy thinking about him prowling about the local neighborhoods, finding a dirty beauty in the little things that go unnoticed by others.

The compositions are simple, but elegant. The colors are few but bold and distinct. I find myself drawn to the same sort of set ups that he shoots, but when I look at his photos, I often think "hmm, I wouldn't have thought of shooting it THAT way!" Great stuff. If you've never been to LA, you can get a feel for the real deal through his shots. If you live here, then you know what they're about.
