When I was younger, I always had a camera with me. While not "God-Awful," the pictures I took were more the result of a neurotic desire to record and catalog my life than any artistic impulse to express myself. Many, many years (and a law degree) later, I've fallen back into the practice.
About a six months ago, my dad gave me his old, near mint, Polaroid 360. It took a little while, (as the film is hard to find and expensive) but I've turned into a bit of an obsessive; so much history to (hopefully) experiment with.
**Wow, it's been a little over a year since I wrote the previous paragraph. In that time, I've acquired two more 360's (gave one away as a Christmas gift), a Macro 5 SLR, two SX-70's, a Minolta Instant Pro, a 195 and, the new love of my life, a Polaroid 600se..."bit of an obsessive" indeed!
I've also started shooting 35mm again. At first, it was primarily to get new slides for my Daylab (i.e. for more Polaroids), but now I'm getting into it for its own sake; just signed up for a darkroom photography course...we'll see where that goes.
Other than that, I'm an attorney who specializes in education law (I know, you've never heard of it)
