I have never been good at these, I liken it to standing up in front of a class, but instead of simply being asked to state your name you're asked vaguely to "describe your self". Well where do I start? When I was young I always wanted to be an artist or cartoonist because out of everything else in life drawing seemed to be the only thing I could concentrate on. I was told that most artist don't make any money and only kids with wealthy families became artist because they don't have to worry about money or responsibility. So I spent the rest of my school years limping through the educational system looking for something that would give me the same interest as drawing. I ended up being accepted into a four year university, where with the understanding that art majors are for rich kids I studied computer technology. After dropping out of the university, I scored the worst job I ever had working for AT&T where I realized that computer tech just wasn't what I wanted to do. I jumped at the opportunity to become a firefighter because is offered an escape from AT&T and because the schedule offered freedom on my days off to Once again peruse art. I love being a fire fighter because I feel that I am doing something that is needed and helping others but I still have love for the art world that I was force to leave behind. The camera is my gateway back into a life long passion.
