Lest you doubt that I know what Mormonism is really about, here are my Mo'Credentials:

* 5th generation Mormon

* Seminary graduate

* Return missionary

* Temple married

* EQP, branch prez, teachers' quorum adviser, gospel doctrine teacher

* Recommend holder continuously til I left

* Life Scout (so sue me)

* Baptistry volunteer for a year (weekly)

It is the LDS Church's comfort with prevarication, misrepresentation and revisionism that convinces me that theirs is not an institution worthy of my loyalty or financial support. The mountains of "doctrine" that have gone down the proverbial memory hole are too vast to list here. The good that the church does is completely overshadowed by both the good they don't bother to do (but could) and the harms they are responsible for.
