I developed my first film in 1978, spent enough time in a dark room, and enjoyed the convenience of digital.

Psychological portraiture remains a focus of my continuous interest.

Subjects I avoid are cats, cute dogs, other adorable pets, glamorous, otherworldly, unrealistically smooth young chicks, scantily clad or completely naked jailbaits in various settings, closeups of flowers, breathtakingly majestic landscapes, sunrises, sunsets, tabletop, and food, (I must have forgotten something).

In the beginning, photography was almost an alchemy, an esoterical craft, a form of art, and many other things. Taking pictures has never been more accessible, yet a continuous flood of banal, repetitive, and meaningless visual fodder does not cease.
