My interests are multifaceted, special interest are the tropical rainforest, the fauna and flora of mainly the neotropical regions. I love butterflies, frogs, birds, coatis ... During traveling through Central and South America I learned a lot about the ecology and all the treasures in the complexity of the fascinating rainforest.
For all IDs I carefully checked my library and the Net. If you find something with a wrong name, please, feel free to add a comment with the correct ID. Thank you! I am very enthusiastic in looking for butterfly and moth IDs in the neotropics.
I started 2002 with an Canon 1000FN (analog), tried later a digital compact Nikon 5400 (knowing after the first 2 shots: this would not be mine), changed to Canon 10D, 40D and actually 5D Mark IV. Lenses: 100-400 f5.6, 17-40 f4, 35-128 f5.6, Tamron Macro 90 f2.8 and Sigma 18-200 f6.3 and Canon 70-200 f2.8.
