Why domestictimes ?

 

Domestictimes was the beginning: this place was meant for me, my family and my friends, just to give everybody a way for organizing and sharing our pics.

 

Now I'm trying to make all this thing of photography something more than domestic times, so I decided to use my real name.

 

Domestictimes remains only as my account id, which cannot be modified.

 

Then the old love for photography come out from my past, and the passion for technology gave me the key for exploring new themes. When I saw the first shots of Trey Ratcliff (AKA stuckincustoms here in flickr) I felt in love with HDR, and I started my own research, beginning with the great Trey's HDR tutorial.

 

Now domestictimes is not a place for family and friends any more (I'm using picasaweb for all that stuff); it is where I'm collecting the best pieces of what I create flickring around.

 

Sometimes the right shot comes just for luck, sometimes I keep on searching for a pic that I only have in my mind until I catch it. In any case, when I post a pic I start checking visits and comments, because I don't know exactly what is appreciated and I'm learning very much from all of you.

Perchè domestictimes ?

 

Domestictimes era l'inzio: voleva essere un semplice modo per condividere con parenti e amici le nostre fotografie.

 

Ora sto cercando di far crescere la mia attività fotografica e tutto questo non ha più nulla di "domestico", quindi ho deciso di usare il mio nome

 

Domestictimes resta solamente come account id, perchè questo non può essere modificato.

 

Presto però il vecchio amore per la fotografia è uscito dal mio passato e la passione per la tecnologia mi ha dato gli strumenti per esplorare nuovi percorsi. Quando vidi per la prima volta i lavori di Trey Ratcliff (AKA stuckincustoms in flickr) ebbi un vero e proprio colpo di fulmine per l'HDR, e iniziai la mia personale ricerca partendo dal prezioso HDR tutorial di Trey.

 

Ora domestictimes non è più uno spazio per parenti e amici (uso picasaweb per questo) ma è per tutti; cerco di raccogliere qui i migliori risultati di quello che ottengo scattando (flickring) appena posso, dove posso, quando posso :-)

 

A volte lo scatto giusto esce quasi per caso, con un po' di fortuna, altre volte ho un'immagine in testa e continuo a cercarla finchè non ci arrivo. In ogni caso, quando aggiungo una foto, inizio a verificare le visite e i commenti, perchè non sempre riesco a valutare il mio lavoro in modo obiettivo e imparo moltissimo proprio da voi.
