Where do we reside? Through a camera lens, I have a chance to see the ground I'm standing on, to get hints of the future. We are always in motion, but moments are moments and something is always carried along.
In July 1999, we left a 27th floor apartment in the middle of downtown Toronto for the rolling green hills of the Upper Midwest of the U.S. Our elevator ride down to "everything" was replaced by interstates... and a different kind of everything.
It's beautiful here. There is much more nature in my life and the air is fresh. Negotiating all this space is both liberating and... character building. America is big... really, really big!
I grew up in Toronto, and cut my teeth on photography there. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ryerson University.
