I am a New Yorker through and through.
I have had several careers over the years.
I started out doing news photography, then I ran a large book store in NYC for a few yearss and then I sort of fell into computer programming. I've been programming for about 20 years. In the last 6-7 years I have been the Chief Technology Officer at several Internet startups - some successful and some that went boom. Startups are stressful but fun.
In college I studied English Lit because that was the only thing that I could think of. I have always been a heavy reader (the gig at the book store saved me a lot of money!). Mostly I read history and political stuff but in the last few years I have found myself reading more and more philosophy.
I have a 17 year old daughter who was my sole photo subject since she was born, but now taking her picture is verboten. So I put the little pocket camera I had been using down, sold all my old film cameras and lenses that were sitting in a bag for almost 25 years and bought a nice digital camera.. Here I am - experimenting and trying to recapture my eye.
The strange thing is that all of my photography in the early years was of people and now it is not. Can't figure out why.
There is a path to all of this. I should be able to figure it out in another 20 years. That is the fun part - whats next?

Daniel has taken some of the most beautiful shots I've ever had in my portfolio. I may not model anymore, but I've still got that portfolio and anytime someone opens it, his shots always get the most positive and complimentary comments! I still remember how nice and funny he was, and what a great time we had, not bad, considering it was DECADES ago! So glad I found him again!
