My love affair with BJD began when I received my very first BJD in 2007. Incidentally, I have always loved Cosplay and Theater which has started me sewing for myself in 2008. Little did I know that this hobby will eventually turn out to be a skill! This made me even better at making costumes for myself and others. This went on for a bit until that one day in 2011 when I couldn’t find the clothes I wanted for my dolls and thought, why not make them? I did and people began to notice my work and some even offered me a commission! Since then, there has been no turning back. I started to collect even more dolls which eventually led me to sculpt my own. By 2013, after endless, sleepless nights of exhaustive conversations with my sister Aliel, we agreed to go for it and Dollheimr was born.
Dollheimr, from the word "Doll" and the Old Norse word "Heimr" meaning "home" is a product of my passion and love for sewing and ball jointed dolls. What started as a hobby has blossomed into a full time career that has made it possible for me to share this love with you and the rest of the world. I absolutely love the process of creating amazing things for dolls and seeing them garbed in beautiful outfits! It's just wonderful to see them dressed in their full glory and seeing that everyone got exactly what they wanted.
