I've learned how to photograph with a "Braun Super Paxette" somewhat 20-25 years ago... this camera was vintage even then (..build in the '50s..).
At least I learned how to use f-stop and shutter time this way... :) This was not taken for granted even in the eighties any more.
After some years of analog photography (Praktica, then Pentax equipment) of varying intensity I got myself a Sony DSC-F505V digital camera... 2.5 MPix but quite an interesting camera even today, at least design-wise.
(.. and with the new Sony NEX-series, Sony even took up some elements of this design again...)
Now I own a Samsung GX10 (... a sibling of the more known Pentax K10D) and some equipment which goes with it...
UPDATE: No, I'm not a "new-camera" addict.. but I got myself a Pentax K-7. The Samsung GX10 is still around, however.
UPDATE2: A lot of old manual lenses around now.. great! And a Pentax K-m (K2000 in USA), which I got for good price joined the bunch here.. as a lightweight "always-with-me" DSLR.
By the way: I can be found as toooldtobetrue on Twitter... but my tweets are "german only". Well, most of the time.
