I have just now uploaded all of the saved photos from my hard-drive, thousands. Will gradually sort through them and put them in albums. Way too many trees, but that is what we have around here.
UPDATE: My ideas about photography are evolving. Focus on daily life in my part of the world - small town southern USA in a time that appears both prosperous and uncertain. Dogs I have saved from animal shelters and hope to place in loving homes, a bit of rare beauty in my life. My approach is documentary rather than artistic - there is a story behind these photos.
I have a new camera. I am technically retired, but I have jumped into a life where I am busier than when I was working as a librarian. I take care of a shelter for. mostly, discarded and abandoned hunting dogs. I also work as volunteer at a small public library (Locust, NC). The work is hard - shelving books and occasionally helping people with computer issues. There are a few pictures here taken at the library.

My other flickr site is Antique Dog Photos where I post vintage photos (mostly with and some without dogs) and some of my artwork.. I also now have access to my mother's slides - I am learning a lot about which photographs have lasting value from looking at these, few of them would be of interest to anyone but her, but some are interesting.

Judith is one of the kindest people I know. She has the most amazing heart for animals of all kinds. She is also one of the hardest workers I know. She manages her dog rescue, DOGS HOPE, single-handedly, day after day after day. She is so very passionate about what she does. It is because of her that I have my two gorgeous boys, Zooie and Benni. Judith saved them from probable death. My boys bring me so much joy everyday, I can't imagine my life without them. I thank you Judith, from the bottom of my heart, for my special boys. They mean the world to me and I will always be grateful.
