Originally from the Detroit, Michigan, area and have lived on-and-off for most of the past 40 years in Oregon.

In my dotage, I'm loving solitude more than ever. I am definitely an introvert, but in my younger days, the horizon called to me, and I responded. I've met and known people from about half the world's countries (I didn't travel to all those countries...it's just that we crossed paths here and there), and I have warm memories of them all.

But nowadays, a big day out is going to the nearby supermarket and the pharmacy. If it's not raining.

Some of my best friends are human, some canine, but one I hang with every day is coffee. At least it's good for me, according to some studies.
