I have been taking photos for over 50 years. It was time to do something with them.
COVID gave me the time to scan several thousand slides and negatives spanning several decades and many parts of the world.
When taking pictures, I rely mostly on my eyes, which notice things of interest pretty much on their own. Only when something grabs their attention do my eyes nudge my brain and I consciously thinks about exposure, depth of field and the composition of the scene. I believes that good pictures are much more the product of the photographer’s mind than of the cost of his equipment or the amount of postprocessing done
In fact, I think of myself as an "acoustic photographer", meaning I use very little amplification, if any, in processing my pictures.
