"That old guy with the camera" according to a passing teen with bright pink hair.

I'm relatively new to flickr, and so far inspired by others' work.

In the industrial pictures, mine and others, I'm looking for a sort of sadness. Possibly similar to Japanese "mono no aware" -- "lachrimae rerum" -- the sadness of things -- "a nostalgic sadness, connected with autumn and the vanishing away of the world." I wasn't sad that my French teacher was old. I was heartbroken that her map of France was yellowed and torn.
