I have worked as a journalist since 1989, but I have been around newspapers since the day I was born. I grew up in my family's newspapers in Dumaguete City, Philippines. I love to tell stories — chronicling the lives of the people around me. I lived in the Pacific Northwest for 13 years with my beautiful wife. We now live in Granbury, Texas, to be closer to family. I enjoy the outdoors and I love food — eating and making it. The best times of my life are the ones I spend with my wife Meg. If I'm not in a newsroom or doing something with my wife, I am most likely reading a book, watching a movie, out looking for pictures to make or shooting pool at your neighborhood pool hall.
