I spent most of my working life in sales and management, but became an elementary school teacher in 2003 and am proud to be making a difference in the lives of so many wonderful young people.

I have been into photography ever since both of my photographer uncles introduced me to the hobby when I was just an early teen. But my interest simply EXPLODED because of two things that occurred in my mid-forties: advances in digital photography and my move to nature-rich South Florida. Since the intersection of those two things, my interest in photography can best be described with one word: obsession!

I am still just an avid amateur, a prosumer, I guess you would call me, but I work really hard to constantly improve my craft. I am a much better photographer than I was when I got serious about six years ago, better now than I was a year ago, and I fully expect to be better still a year from now. I cannot envision an end to that pattern.
