I'm enjoying letting myself show my creative side for the first time in my life. Not sure where it will take me, if anywhere, but that's okay.

I've undertaken a career change, returning to school to add a Graphic Design Degree and starting my own freelance design and photography business, Encore Designs.

Detroit is my favorite place to shoot. Can't deny the visual appeal of the abandoned buildings in Detroit and the chance to glimpse history there, but I think the spots that are experiencing success are pretty interesting too. I love the spirit of Midtown, the mix of established and emerging, institutions and independents, success and struggle. Clearly I'm not alone in having my creative side sparked by the energy there.

I love to mix graphic design and photography, using original shots for client work whenever possible. I recently started selling prints of my photography and would like to find time to expand to some mixed media work and more blending of my graphic design and photos for artistic purposes.
