FROM THE BEGINNING:

I've always been interested in art and started drawing pencil portraits around the age of 11. For the most part, I'm self-taught, working over the years in a variety of art fields. One of my first jobs involving art was in the sign industry, designing and hand lettering signs. In the late 70's I started picking up free-lance work as an artist in the comic book industry. I worked for a short time as an assistant background artist to Tony DeZuniga when he was inking CONAN THE BARBARIAN for Marvel Comics. In the 80's I worked as a lettering artist for several independent comic companies such as Malibu, Eternity and Elite. Some of the titles I worked on were STEALTH FORCE, DARKWOLF, FIST OF GOD and THE LIBERATOR. Although the 90's were pretty much dedicated to raising my two daughters, I still did some part time free-lance work, including some T-shirt design/printing and was lettering artist on the book CAVEWOMAN for Caliber Comics. I started painting full-time in the year 2000. In the last 10 years I've produced and sold over 500 paintings, selling online and through several galleries across the United States and in the United Kingdom. All my paintings are ORIGINAL - completely hand drawn and hand painted. No digital images, stencils, or any type of printing or silkscreening used. THANKS FOR LOOKING!
