Cathedral of Learning in PGH, PA

My interest in photography began as a child. My father, who has always been interested, had a Nikon F. I believe he had purchased it while in the service in Viet Nam. In any event years later my High School offered a photography course and Larry Langdon, our teacher, inspired many of us to start shooting pictures, and developing film. I set up a little darkroom and took my fathers F model out. It was older then (28 years ago) but still grabbed fantastic shots now and again. Allthough I spent too much time photographing my high school cheerleaders, I still managed to capture some nice photos. Mr. Langdon even had some medium format cameras for us to work with and I got a little honorable mention at a local art gallery in Huntington, WV. My great friend Capn Madd Matt was inspired around the same time to take photos and we hung out alot in those days, taking pictures and cracking each other up. My school and career conspired to keep me away from any serious photography until about three years ago. I desided to jump back into photography with a Nikon D100. Since then my love for photography has continued to grow. I continue to learn and sometimes remember the lessons that Mr. Langdon tried to teach us. My life has once again been enriched by photography. I love an endeavor in which one can both give and recieve all at the same time.
