I've always had a strong creative energy flowing through me. For many years, I tapped it with my music. Then, briefly with computer programming. Finally, when my family got me my first SLR, it was all over!

The first few years were entirely about experimenting with different photography methods, learning the camera, and discovering the wonders of Fuji Velvia film. But, as film faded to a token medium, I jumped on the digital bandwagon and haven't looked back! I've since been able to more easily explore my various photography methods and further hone my art.

In early 2008, I started a natural light, lifestyle, children's portraiture business. In addition to Flickr, I also manage my portfolio on my website- davidkeyesphotography.com/- and discuss my adventures in photography on my blog- davidkeyesphotography.wordpress.com/.
