About
Born in December 1993 in Launceston, Tasmaina. I have enjoyed photography as a hobby for quite a few years now. I love looking out for that photo opportunity, to add a new one to the collection. My focus is on panoramic landscape photography. Because I love bush walking (especially in Tasmania), I get many beautiful views of waterfalls and mountains popping around the corner waiting for their photo.
My Kit Story
The first camera I used was the family camera, a 3.2MP Olympus C760UZ digital compact camera. One of the first things I noticed with this camera was it had good colour in the photos compared to other cameras. It also sported a 10x optical zoom which was big for a compact camera back then. The second camera I had was also the family camera, the new Olympus. It was a 8MP SP560UZ digital compact. Like the older one this camera also had good colour compared to other cameras. It also sported a large zoom at 18x optical. But once I started getting more serious with the photography the limited manual settings on these compact cameras were not enough for me. So I bought myself a 15.1 MP Canon 500D DSLR camera and my lenses are the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM, Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS and Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II. This camera would allow me to take the more serious manual shots I was after, and give me the extra quality. Recently (end of 2011) I upgraded to a Canon 5D Mark II to go that one step further up the ladder.
