I began getting serious about photography after shooting jazz and hip hop shows to illustrate concert reviews I contributed (as a volunteer) to a Boston-focused blog (Bostonist, long since gone). That sparked a passion which has grown and evolved over the past 20 years. I now concentrate on landscape, architecture, urban lifestyle, street, and wildlife photography. As an environmental and endangered species lawyer, I’m inspired by wildlife and the natural environment. As a life-long lover of architecture, design, and urban spaces, I often explore and photograph my city, Boston. More about me here, in this interview.

I sometimes shoot with an old Nikon D90 (soon to be replaced by a Nikon Zf ), but primarily with a beloved Olympus Pen-F (along with an older Olympus E-P3) and a wide range of lenses for both, primarily primes (almost exclusively for the Olympus m4/3 cameras). I also sometime shoot with one of two refurbished Polaroid SX-70 film cameras I own (a Model 1 in black leather and an Alpha 1 in tan leather). See this album of Polaroid SX-70 photos. I also have a few other old Poloroid cameras, including an SX-70 Model 2 and a Model 95.

I'm constantly amazed by the quality, imagination, and creativity of the photography on Flickr. It's a source of inspiration, eye opening information, and fun.
