Recently bought the Canon T4i and hoping to take some really good pictures with it. I've always had an interest in photography, especially during the times I am on vacation. I love animal and nature photography as well as macro photography of plants and bugs. I don't have a macro lens yet though.

Started out with a Canon VIXIA HF100 camcorder. I bought it to take HD video with, but as the years went on I found myself using it less and less for video and more for photos. While I thought, as well as family and friends, that it took great pictures, I knew it wasn't meant for photography. Well, the zoom functionality finally broke on it so I figured time to upgrade and get into the photography hobby a little more. I'm starting out slow as I do not live in a memorable location and do not have the luxury of traveling all the time to grand locations. So in the meantime, I am here to learn, observe, and be a part of the photography community.
