I have been shooting black & white film since 2001. Around 2006 or '07, when I couldn't get the results I wanted at the local camera store (lab), I built my first darkroom so I could process 4x5 film as well. That would become the first of three , (including a studio rental which I converted to a darkroom) and today I still have the same quest for knowledge, but mainly in medium and large format, alternative process (contact printing with a UV Light Source) and sometimes even digital, although the fun of digital comes in Lightroom. I remember taking a Brownie Box camera in 1965 (at age 9) with me to Sweden for the summer. Unfortunately all the photographs are lost and only memories remain. Then later on, my dad gave me my first 'real' camera - a Kodak Tourist, and a light meter in about 7th grade which I never could figure out. Then in 1972, in 10th grade, I bought a Nikkormat which had a internal meter. From then on I just always had a camera. Some 50 years later and I'm still shooting, only with 4x5's, 5x7's, 8x10's and pinholes. And processing for 20 years. Life goes on...
