Born in San Juan, P.R. and musically influenced by a Percussionist family. Raised listening to the Puertorican/Cuban Salsa Music and his father’s grooves of Congas & Bongos, Castro developed his percussive taste in Latin Fusions. Ben have played big worlwide events & venues including: Fantasy Island,Back in Business, Club Opera-ATL, Heineken Music Project, Discotecha-NY, The Palace(@ Miami)& Miamis Warm Up Festival, WMC 09’’Pre @Shelborne(Teggno Records), Dreams(South Beach) & Club Cinema. Having the opportunity to perform along side with different and very talented Djs/Producers, Castro have shared decks with: Matt Darey, Marchus Shulchz, Jen Lasher, Marcus Beier, Sultan, Tattoo Detectives, Guti, Shaun Reeves, Afrika Bambata, AK 1200, Dj Dara, Dieselboy, Adam F, Adam Freeland, Mayhem, and Jekill & Hide ‘’to mention a few’‘. Different beats of Ben Castro are played in some P.R.’s & International hottest radio&Online stations including ‘’La X-100.7’‘, ’’La Mega-106.9’’ & Frisky Radio-Detroit. Promoting weekly events and club parties he have worked with almost every DJ & Producer in PR. As owner of 2 production companies(PlayHouse Prod.& PRMinimalMilitia Inc.) he have tried to push the electronic music scene to different artistic levels.
