Once in awhile
you get shown the light
in the strangest of places
if you look at it right
My connection to nature started when I was very young. Growing up in the woods, going camping, and just being outside most of my childhood made me have an appreciation for the Great Outdoors. I didn't realize I needed to photograph it until I was in high school.
It started with walks in the woods and catching some sunsets. From there it took on a life of it's own and now the forest and nature have become my life.
I don't participate in social media. Instead of wondering what people are doing everyday, I wonder what my favorite trees, trails, rivers, waterfalls and places I call my "Soul's Homes" are doing. To be honest, I enjoy the company of trees more than the company of most humans. Nature is my church and it keeps me keep sane in this crazy world.
I'm nowhere near a professional photographer. I don't have Photoshop and sometimes I barely edit at all. Being on Flickr is my only "social media" and it's been a fun place to learn and be inspired by other photographers.
The connections I have with these places in nature is something I can't put into words, so I let my camera do that.
Hope you enjoy my journeys :)
