I’m a writer and editor with a knack for getting to know places and the people who inhabit them. As managing editor of Birmingham magazine, I keep my ears and eyes attuned to the latest happenings in the city. Whether it’s the issues people are discussing, a restaurant opening or a band that’s generating buzz, the magazine covers the city’s stories. During my time at the magazine, I’ve developed a music blog, Birmingham Box Set, and increased the magazine’s print coverage of the Birmingham music scene.

As a newspaper reporter, I covered features, health, religion and community news at the Birmingham News, Cullman Times and Tuscaloosa News. While in Cullman and Tuscaloosa, I also worked as a page designer and copy editor. My work has also appeared in BookPage, Delta's Sky magazine, Alabama Alumni Magazine, Relevant magazine and the Huntsville Times, among other places.
