Societies are run by students for Student's .They are supported by DIT and Students’ Union through advice, administration and finance. Societies are at the heart of the student life, you can run all sorts of events, publish your own newsletter, hold debates, organise charity events, travel, hold exhibitions and competitions.

The ever-expanding number of societies in DIT caters for practically every interest from Drama, Fashion, Traditional music, Juggling, Paintball, and to the many course related societies.
