Dear Life,

My name is emma and I've got to clarify some things with you.

For starters, I respect the fact that others desire capitals in their names, creations, and posessions, but I honestly can't stand them. They are the ugliest letters of the alphabet, no to mention the ones that take up the most space, are most often more difficult to write, and stagger the nice flow of small letters. And that is why I choose not to capitalize my name. It's mine, and I can do what I want with it.

I thought I would also describe some requests which I'm sure you will like to add to your in box as soon as possible. For one, night is the new day, if you haven't noticed. It would be nice if you could bring everybody else up to speed so that we can start school at midnight rather than at 6am, a time when everybody across the land should be fast asleep. I'd also like to ask you to work on the eyesights of those people who do not see the beauty in neon colours. I'm not really sure what happened after the 80's ended, but it left us in a despair of tawdry, lifeless colours. My third and final request would be for the complete abolition of homework. Eight hours a day at school is ridiculous enough, but another four hour extension with homework drives plus a suggested nine hours of sleep just leaves us a measly three hours to regain our sanity. I hope that you will consider these requests, and they would be greatly appreciated if filed.

And lastly, I'm beginning to notice that you seem to have some issues with me. If this is so, I'm asking you why you must take out your problems in such an immature manner? Is it really necessary to put a stop sign right infront of me while I'm not paying attention? And how about that little chemistry incident. You know, the one where SO2 "magically" turned into SO4. Writing mistakes like those do not happen with full concentration, so don't think you got away with that one. I don't mean to come off as rude in writing this, so please don't strike me with whopper amounts of karma. I'm just concerned about what this grudge may be doing to your health.

Maybe we can talk about this over a cup of iced tea some time?

Sincerely,

emma
