33 years old and if my mother is to be believed I have been interested in buses for 32 of those years!
Living just down the road from the WMPTE garage at Washwood Heath, I had plenty of buses passing my window everyday on the 93,94.161 & 171 routes, and the 2 minute walk to the shops on Alum Rock road and Saltley gate gave me plenty more bus sights with the 8,14,26,55 & 56.
WH garage will always be my favourite, as you can see by my favourite photos on here. It had a small allocation that rarely changed, so I always thought of WH vehicles as extended family.
With the closure of WH, Lea Hall took over most buses and routes, and I learned to love their allocation too. However with the closure of LH and the re-branding of TWM to National Express West Midlands, their awful livery and even more awful route branding, my love for the West Midlands bus scene is fading. However through Flickr, I can relive my love of WMPTE, WMT, WMB and TWM.
I hope you enjoy my photostream. It contains different kinds of photos. My own and my collection of acquired photos from over the years. If a photographer is identified, I will always give thanks for permission to use it and credit. Others are of unknown copyright, however I do welcome any information of photographers so I can give credit.
