I'm a writer living in Seattle, Washington, working on a novel. I'm a former computer security guru, and I wrote an intro-to-Unix book.I've loved photography since I was a child, thanks to my grandmother, who had a darkroom in her basement. Before October 1st, photos were taken either with my 2000-vintage Nikon Coolpix 950 (which has the extended data attached to the files), or my Nokia 6600 cameraphone, which for some reason doesn't include the extended data. After October 1st, I've still got the cameraphone, and a brand-spanking-new Canon PowerShot S70.
