i just enjoy taking photos.
When I see a photo I aim to capture it. Sometimes this works other times it doesn't. I am not overinterested in technically perfect photos and haven't gone the way of big zoom photos.
Sometimes I take photo because of their experience that I am enjoying: Like traveling down the Franklin River in Tasmania, Glacier Bay in Alaska or just sitting in one of the many coffees shop in Kalamunda, WA Australia.
Other times my camera become a notebook, so we remember the name of the pub we had that great meal near Inverness.
A camera has become such a useful and versatile tool for capturing beauty and information, evoking memories of people and places and for creating debates about what is a good photo.
The photo I have chosen of myself to put here is such an experience. We live in a hot place far from the snow. Yet in May 2008 I stood in the snow in Jasper Alberta for a photo.
Flick away dear friends.
