I'm a hobby photographer from Holland. Having lived abroad in Ireland for six years between 2003 and 2009 I have returned to my native Holland last year.

I first picked up photography while in Ireland and have learned many techniques and skills there. Ireland is a fantastic country for any photographer as the landscapes are often dramatic and offer great picture opportunities.

Between April 2007 and April 2010 I had a forced break from Photography as I forgot my entire kit consisting of a Canon 350D, 18-55mm, Sigma 70-300mm and Canon 50mm (f/1.8) and accessories in a train while going to the airport.

In April 2010 I was finally able to replace my kit and I'm now the proud owner of a Canon 50D, Canon 17-85mm IS USM and Canon 70-300mm IS USM. A new "nifty fifty" is definitely on my short-term wish list so I'll add that lens to my kit within the next few months.
