I have always loved photography and it was not too long ago that I got inspired to get more active in it. So I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D40, which has totally changed my pictures tremendously. Before that I was using a Canon Powershot...it was a trusty camera that made it all the way around the world with me. I also own a few film cameras - another Nikon and an old Leica that was my Grandfathers. I can only hope to continue to add to those.
I am still learning a lot and Flickr has provided an ample learning environment along with great inspiration from photos taken by great photographers and people who are just like me.

She can make me feel the smoothness of a glassy shell, or smell the heat coming off a bubble-glassed light bulb, or feel the smooth edges on a Twizzler stick. Also, her photos from beneath flowers and leaves make her seem larger than life, yet also tender and caring in how she regards the small living things in this world (both plant and animal) as important and worthy of her artistic attention...
