My interest in photography started in my early teens, I bought a fujifilm fixed focus film camera with the little pocket money I had.

Then my interest and love fell when I jumped into a Pentax shop and bought my first ever SLR, a P30T. A manual focus, film camera with titanium body which came bundled with a 'standard' 28-80mm zoom lens. This camera was my companion for many years, until the early days of digital camera. My venerable P30T travelled with me across Europe and also accompanied me during my honeymoon.

My second SLR was an autofocus *ist (2nd hand from ebay). Sharp focus and extremely lightweight and easy to use, but unfortunately it didn't prove to be very reliable.

My first ever digital camera was a compact point-and-shoot Nikon E2100 with a 2Mpx sensor and a 3x optical zoom, no great optics but still managed to get quite good results. Then a Pentax SVi (my pet) and eventually a Pentax W90 for being waterproof.

My first dSLR was a Pentax K10D, a highly spec'd camera for the time and a true value for money. Then added a Pentax K5, again a remarkable camera and build quality. Some more lenses and great fun!
