I first got hooked on photography in the early 70's when my father purchased an enlarger and other darkroom stuff and encouraged me to have a go. I cannot remember the make of my first "proper" camera (I'd used an Instamatic before that) but for my 18th my parents gave me an Olympus OM1 which served me well for many many years. With work etc photography took a bit of a rear seat and tended to be only for holidays and the like. Then almost ten years ago I purchased my first digital camera the Olympus Camedia 8080WZ. The foldout LCD screen was a fantastic option and it was the one thing I missed and continue to miss having upgraded to the Canon 50D. It was the 8080 that rekindled my love of photography and since then, particularly now with the 50D, I find it has become a daily passion. My main camera is now the Canon 5D MKIII - fantastic camera!
