My name is Dheeraj.

A Computer Science Engineer by profession, but a versatilist by nature!

I love doing lots of stuff including cooking, biking, photographing, reading manga, watching anime, etc...

I held my first camera when I was about 10 years old and it was an old compact film camera. The spark to start photography never occurred to me till my second year in college.

The first camera I owned and learned a lot from was a Canon Powershot A720IS. It had the most impressive 8 MPs with complete manual control for me to learn a lot from. I bought this camera by placing a bet with my mom on my grade in my 3rd semester in college ! I've never regretted doing that! :)

In 2012, I graduated myself to my first DSLR, a Canon EOS Rebel T3.

My first lenses were the Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS kit lens and the nifty fifty f/1.8 since those were the only ones I could afford back then. I then bought my first telephoto lens, a Tamron 70-300mm SP VC Di.

After this, I graduated to my first Canon 'L' lens, the Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 L IS.

I also bought my first 35mm SLR, a Canon EOS 3 and have shot a Velvia 50 though it so far. This is the camera I use most these days and hopefully, I'll graduate to a more mechanical SLR film camera soon and go all the way to a kodak brownie someday and take the best pictures I could ever take with it without any auto metering. :)

I LOVE nature and wildlife photography. At times I prefer to go macro and sometimes I just cannot get over my 50mm for normal shots.

I don't like pictures which are overly processed and absolutely hate photos which contain artificial elements added to them to appeal to the viewer! I like to use DarkTable to tweak my RAWs' exposure and darks and use GIMP to add watermark. (Love opensource!)
