I love to live, and I live to love!

I started out doing the basic B&W class in undergrad (with a basic old Pentax) , and then moved on to one digital photo class. I could not get enough of it(and PhotoShop of course, heh) (I even still have some of my old projects I need to somehow get them into here)....and then I stopped taking photos because I went into youth ministry, then business, then got married, full time ministry, etc...and I have never picked it p again...probably because I just missed the darkroom and the Black and White shooting...I then started to take a few with a camera phone, and then my brother bought a Casio EXILIM EX-S2 2.0 MP camera that was the size and thickness of 4 credit cards...and I got his camera after his death…and used it for everyday life in my pocket....so now I continue the tradition and since the old Casio died...So, at that time I bought this camera:Casio EXILIM EX-S770BE

But just like all gadgets for me I had to have something better...so I took a small gift that a company gave me, and bought this camera:

Nikon D40 Digital SLR

And now that I actually have control over the camera of the pictures that I take, I hope now from what is in my mind of what I know it should look like will start to look at way on "film".

It is now time to remember my undergrad...and start getting a little more serious about photography.

I use PhotoShop very rarely, and if I do it is usually just for resizing photos or touching up the basics, contrast, shadows, exposure, etc). I use Apple's Aperture (I am a certified trainer) with the Nik Plug-in suit from Google. I use CS6 on a rare basis, but I love having it.

UPDATE: As of August '08 i sold my D40 to a friend and I am the new proud father of a new Nikon D80! Can't wait to have some fun!
