I am a stay-at-home mother of 7 beautiful children. I home school the eldest 4, my husband and I own a catering business, Dewings Catering and Confections, and I love to quilt and sew. My husband calls me crazy for cutting up fabric into little pieces, just to sew them back together again. I tell him that my insanity needs an outlet! Most importantly, my best friend is Jesus Christ!

My interests vary and so does my style! :) I would describe my style as country eclectic. Think "country farmhouse" meets "bright bold colors". I like both traditional and modern quilting, yet there needs to be a form of order to things. I don't like crazy quilts or scrappy-do-whatever kind-of quilts for this reason. Scrappy quilts are great, as long as there is order and some sort of pattern to it. I also don't like appliqued flowers or baskets. I'm not that traditional. :)

My favorite color is green (all ranges of green from hunter to olive to emerald), yet I'm a fan of all the other colors as well. . I absolutely LOVE any rainbow combinations. I don't really have a color combo that's my favorite, because I see all of them as potential and beautiful.

I must add that neon and really bright, hurt-your-eyes colors are not liked. Nor are muted colors. Pastels are okay, as long as they have some bold friends along with them. Neutral colors are fine if not used alone.

I don't have a favorite fabric designer, as some do, for I find most of them to have bits and pieces that I enjoy. Remember, I'm eclectic. :) I am fairly new to the on-line quilting community, so I'm not partial to one thing or the other.

My "favorites" page does a good job at giving a visual showcase of my style.
