F.A.Q.
Q: My magazine would like to purchase a licence of one of your photos, how can I contact you?
You're very welcome to, just drop me an email. Don't be afraid, I might be cheaper than what you think. Please note that if you write me for other reasons, you might get no answer.
Q: Can I use your picture(s) on my blog?
A: It's a photo, and the answer is NO.
Q: Can I upload your photo(s) on my Facebook / Myspace / Instagram / Flickr tribute page?
A: NO
Q: I am a journalist and I'm writing an article about this artist/band you shot, could you send me a couple of photos to be used along with the article? My magazine has no budget for photos but we'll print your name under every photo
A: NO, f*** **u very much.
I won't pay you, I'll steal this pic and put it on my website.
A: My lawyer will send you the invoice + a "reasonable" request for the damaged caused by the copyright theft. She will then attempt to reach an agreement with you that may let you skip the court. If that doesn't happen, it will be my pleasure seeing you in front of a judge.
Q: I love a certain band and I'd like to take some pictures of them, how can I do?
A: Be a fan, buy a ticket for their concert and enjoy the show. Concert photographers are escorted out after the few minutes they're allowed to shoot, you wouldn't even see/hear that concert of your favourite band.
Q: I'd like to enter the music photography business but I don't really know how, can you help me?
A: I strongly suggest you not to, but if you're really really sure... Look for the concert photography group on Flickr, read the FAQ and remember: never give your photos for free. If you do, you'll never be able to make a penny out of the job since everyone expects you to work for free.
