We are the archive and local studies service for the county of Devon, in south-west England.

Through our record offices and local studies libraries in Exeter and Barnstaple we exist to collect and preserve documentary, printed and digital material which relates to the county, and to make it available for research.

Along with the Somerset Heritage Service, we are part of the South West Heritage Trust, which came into being in 2014.
