Melissa, the person whose profile you are now reading, can sometimes be quite the character. Melissa is a Texan by birth and a Floridian by transplant with a pit-stop in New Mexico in between for college (this is not what makes her a character, only stating fact).

She likes her hair red (although she's chosen maroon temporarily), she is interested in movies, music, vampires, tiki idols, and devils (partially the reason for her screen name), MINI Coopers, politics and playing softball and kickball, among other things. Kickball. You read that right. Melissa also loves words and she keeps a sort of word journal/dictionary, if you will.

Friends might describe her as someone with a good sense of humor (perhaps sometimes incorrigible but never imperious), a good friend (at least she hopes) and someone who is always willing to go on new adventures. This may one day get her into trouble. Melissa does like to keep herself busy therefore you will hardly ever find her at home. You will never see Melissa in a cloister because her eagerness to talk would never allow such a thing.

Melissa likes to document with pictures the goings on around her life, yes this may even include the occasional wisdom tooth yanking. Melissa has decided to continue on with a second year of the 365 Days Project not because she's vain or because she has excellent photography skills (she doesn't) but because she talked some friends into taking part. Just doesn't seem right to convince friends to start something and then not go along. Melissa is not that kind of friend.

Melissa is always in search of new friends or new hobbies in which to meet new friends. Perhaps one day Melissa will find the love of her life, until then she's having fun discovering new things.

UPDATE: Melissa recently upgraded to a Canon Rebel XSI. So far it's been a source of great amusement. Melissa is now worried about the money she will undoubtedly pour into the new camera when she has other priorities.
